Sarah Appleby -17 - Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis. Captain of Team Foxboro and 2009 Boston Arthritis Walk Ambassador
For two consecutive years, Team Foxboro has been awarded as the Top Fundraising Team. For the 2009 Boston Arthritis Walk, team captain Sarah Appleby has been selected to serve as a Walk Ambassador.
Team Foxboro is up and running for 2009!! We hope this year will be as successful as (if not more so than) the last two in which we have participated. In order to do this, we need your help & new team members!! :)
Signing up as a team member shows that you are an advocate of the funding effort that hundreds of thousands of children nationwide are in desperate need of.
Q: What is expected of me if I sign up to be a team member?
A: NOTHING!! Involvement is totally up to you. The easiet thing to do is collect donataions from family & friends.
Remember, collecting donations equals volunteer hours!! The more you collect, the more hours you'll receive! Also, you will get an official walk t-shirt for $100.00 in donations and be awarded incentive prizes for $250.00 and up!
Q: Do I have to make a commitment to be in Boston the day of the walk?
A: Nope! There are lots of "virtual walkers" who are there in spirit. But if you do decide to join us, it's a great walk along the Charles River with lots of food & activities before & after.
Q: Can I just make a donation?
A: YES!! Donations of any size are appreciated and brings us closer to our goal of being the top fundraising team for the third consecutive year.
